Senior Accountant 

CLYNK is a circular economy solutions provider. We make it easy for retailers, brands, redemption operators and everyday people to do the right thing through our consumer-centric “bag-drop” technology solutions. We are the fastest growing mode of beverage container recycling and the most requested option by consumers. Our technology supports recycling at scale across an entire ecosystem including states with Deposit Recovery Systems (aka Bottle Bills) and Producer Responsibility Organizations or Brands who enable customers to recycle with convenient solutions.

Job Description: CLYNK is looking for a Senior Accountant to play a key role in our finance department. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the overall financial health and success of CLYNK. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company that is passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile assigned parts of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and collections.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Capital Budgeting: Work with department leads to analyze potential capital projects.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Financial Controls: Create and implement financial controls across organization.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and work on implementing efficient accounting practices and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including prior experience in an accountant role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Microsoft Excel power user.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and environmental practices is a plus.
